Kim van der Velden (1995) is een tattoo artiest uit Eindhoven. Aan het Sint Lucas in Boxtel volgde ze een opleiding tot keramiste, maar vond uiteindelijk haar roeping in illustreren. Voor haar is het vormgeven van illustraties een vorm van zelfexpressie. Ze haalt veel inspiratie uit oude tradities en culturen, maar juist ook uit de kleine dingen om haar heen in het dagelijks leven. Geen ontwerp wordt gemaakt zonder verhaal en moet volgens haar gevoel kloppen. De stijl wordt gekenmerkt door een mix van diverse stijlen zoals traditional, fineline botanical en symbolen.
Kim van der Velden (1995) is a tattoo artist from Eindhoven. She studied to become a ceramist at Sint Lucas in Boxtel but ultimately found her calling in illustration. For her, creating illustrations is a form of self-expression. She draws a lot of inspiration from old traditions and cultures, but also from the little things around her in everyday life. No design is made without a story and must feel right to her. The style is characterized by a mix of various styles such as traditional, fine line botanical, and symbols.
